Advocacy tips Political not Partisan for Clubs

Zonta Advocates for Women.  We are Political, but Non Partisan.

2. Review Zonta International Policy (same page)

3. Think about representing Zonta  or your club in the public space, vs having a discussion as yourself in a Zonta-led public or private space

4. Never advocate for a candidate or party.  Speak to policy and actions, but … don’t hesitate to identify whose policy or action you are speaking to.  “Organization X’s Policy”  or “POTUS released Executive Order”  or “Rep. Jane Doe voted against the ERA”

5. INFORMATION IS POWER, ADVOCACY REQUIRES WHO, WHAT, WHEN

6. Enhance understanding, educate and appeal. 

7. As you write any online or email or post: Offer context in your intro, and at the bottom links to more information or non partisan action.

8. Keep it to “Zonta’s Objects”. Gender related topics
