Aysha Emmerson

YOUTH LEADER FOR WOMEN + GIRLS

Aysha Emmerson is passionate about leadership, negotiating change, and helping girls and women forge better lives for themselves.

Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Aysha grew up in Victoria, British Columbia, and is currently a Sophomore at Harvard College. Aysha is a 2018 recipient of the Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs Award, and was recently the first Zonta Youth Observer to the Commission on the Status of Women. Aysha has volunteered at an NGO in Guatemala, co-led a Youth Lead the Change Conference in India, and founded a week-long girls’ empowerment camp called Self.I.E (Self-Inspiration and Empowerment). 

Kelly Procida

Kelly Procida is a Senior Associate on the Global Cause Partnerships team at UNICEF USA.

Having worked at UNICEF USA since 2014, Kelly has worked with their Youth Engagement programs and was a Global Citizenship Fellow working with vol-unteers from across the United States. Now, in her current role Kelly works with NGOs and civil society organizations partnering with UNICEF USA to fundraise, advocate and educate their members on UNICEF’s work around the world and the impact they are making for children. 

Fraidy Reiss

UNCHAINED AT LAST

ERADICATE CHILD MARRIAGE

Fraidy Reiss is the founder of Unchained At Last a national organization who has partnered with Zonta International to eradicate all child marriage. 

Fraidy is recognized internationally as an expert on forced and child marriage in America. Her writing on the subject has been published in the New York Times, Washington Post and countless other publications in the U.S. and beyond, and she has been inter-viewed and featured by those outlets as well as Financial Times, BBC, PBS, NPR, CBS and others. Legislation she helped to write to end or reduce child marriage has been intro-duced and, in some cases, already passed in multiple U.S. states.
