ERA status 2023/24 = Ratified and waiting Publication

EQUAL MEANS EQUAL President Kamala Lopez joins National ERA Publication Task Force Co-Chair Jean Sweeney and OB-GYN Dr. Eileen Murphy to explain why the ERA (Equal Rights Amendment) is presently ratified, is Federal law and MUST be published by the Archivist (script by Lopez, Sweeney, Murphy, Nicole Vorrasi Bates and Aileen Rockey).

President Biden must direct the U.S. Archivist to publish the amendment immediately, as required by law, to save reproductive rights and provide women and the LGBTQIA community with equal rights and protections under our Constitution. Article V of the U.S. Constitution says simply: “Upon ratification of three-fourths of the States, an amendment SHALL BE ADOPTED.” It does not say that the will of the people is subject to the whimsy of a handful of men. This is the first time in our nation’s history that a duly ratified amendment has failed to be adopted by the U.S. Government — and it is the one amendment that would give over half the population full citizenship and equal rights and protection under our laws.
