US Women at the UNToledo, Ohio, is recognized as a Cities for CEDAW city, having been designated as such in 2022. The city has actively worked to implement the principles of CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women) at the local level. Toledo received the Cities for CEDAW Leadership Award 2025 for its efforts in promoting gender equity and empowering women and girls
